BOND has a leading market position as a developer of library
software in the German speaking region. During the years 2008 to
2010, the company relocated all of its development activities to
its main building in Böhl-Iggelheim, Germany. The team that was to
be responsible in the future for handling Bibliotheca2000, a Gupta
library management application and the newer Biblioteca.NET, first
had to be gradually built up at the new location. To bridge this
gap, for approximately two years, two of fecher's Gupta developers
supported the further development of Biblioteca2000. For example,
among other things, they created an interface to the web-based ekz
media services, which librarians can use to order new media and
perform a direct online update of the corresponding data into their
system. Additionally, two other fecher employees assisted the team
for one year by developing Bibliotecca.NET further and helping with
two software releases.
We are very grateful that fecher was able to assist us during this transitional period. The cooperation was seamless and the external developers integrated themselves fully with our team.
