A fixed price invoice or billing according to time spent?
Selecting the type of billing is one of the most difficult decisions to be made with regard to such a project. Whichever one you choose, we will work within your specifications.
With fixed-price invoicing, the advantage is that you will have an exact financial basis for planning. However, for us to calculate a fair fixed price, it will be necessary to have an exact, detailed written description of all requirements for the new solution. The project will be implemented strictly on the basis of these requirement specifications. Any changes or necessary additions that become known after the project has started also have to be documented precisely and an estimate made with regard to the change in costs versus the original amount.
However, the desire for fixed-price projects often stands in opposition to the reality of day-to-day business with its rapidly changing business processes and short product development cycles as well as modern software development processes involving multi-stage project implementations.
